Job summary

2 Sisters Food Group in West Bromwich is seeking a Transport Dispatch Supervisor to lead shift teams, ensure efficient loading/unloading, and maintain safety and quality standards.

The role requires Licences for FLT and PPT, strong leadership, and a focus on compliance with food safety and health & safety policies. Training and career progression opportunities are provided within a supportive team environment.

Qualifications

• Valid FLT and PPT licences required.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
• Clear written and spoken English skills; good numeracy.
• Proven experience in leading and developing teams.
• IOSH Managing Safety certification preferred.
• Able to make clear decisions and challenge the status quo.
• Ensure total legal compliance in H&S and site practices.

Responsibilities

• Effectively manage resources to maximize people, plant and materials utilization to meet output and service targets.
• Lead and develop the team to maintain performance, attendance, and conduct standards.
• Ensure site compliance with all legal and contractual requirements; promote hygiene and safety.
• Achieve planned unloading and loading targets.
• Monitor progress and coordinate with other departments to resolve issues.
• Communicate, liaise and escalate issues with Transport Manager and colleagues as needed.
• Maintain accreditation through audits and documentation such as FLT checks and dispatch paperwork.
• Collaborate with Transport Manager to keep the yard and transport areas in good condition.
• Aid in employment relation matters such as return-to-work and performance management.
