Gist Limited, part of the M&S Group, is seeking a Night Transport Coordinator to join the Spalding Transport team on a permanent night shift. You will coordinate drivers, manage live transport activity and ensure deliveries are on schedule while supporting the Shift Manager on shift.

The role requires experience in transport operations, leadership capability and strong IT skills, including Kronos and MS Office. Nights shift runs Sat-Tue, with a base of 38 hours per week.

Competenze

• Experience working within a transport, logistics or distribution operation.
• Previous experience in a Transport Coordinator, Transport Administrator, Transport Planner or similar role.
• The confidence to communicate with drivers, allocate work and make operational decisions.
• Supervisory or team leadership experience preferred, including supporting driver performance.
• Excellent organisation skills with the ability to prioritise multiple tasks in a busy environment.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
• Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office and Kronos experience.
• Knowledge of transport compliance and Operator Licence requirements would be advantageous.

The Opportunity

We're looking for a Night Transport Coordinator to join our Spalding Transport team on a permanent Night Shift.

This is far more than a transport administration role. You'll be at the heart of the night operation, coordinating drivers, managing live transport activity and ensuring deliveries run safely, efficiently and on schedule. Working alongside the Transport Shift Manager, you'll play an important leadership role on shift, supporting drivers, making operational decisions and keeping the transport office running smoothly throughout the night.

Role details:

Up to £25,114.96 per annum (DOE) + £3,477.96 Night Shift Premium

Nights - Saturday to Tuesday

38 hours per week | 18:00 PM to 04:00 AM or 20:00 PM to 06:00 AM

What you'll be doing

What we're looking for

We're looking for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced transport environment and can confidently balance operational coordination with supporting people.

Your skills and experience will include:

• Experience working within a transport, logistics or distribution operation.


• Previous experience in a Transport Coordinator, Transport Administrator, Transport Planner or similar role.


• The confidence to communicate with drivers, allocate work and make operational decisions.


• Ideally some supervisory or team leadership experience, including supporting driver performance or conducting return-to-work conversations.
