Transport Coordinator – Manchester – Full Time

Our client is a well-established industrial packaging manufacturer, specialising in bespoke packaging solutions for customers across a range of industries. We are looking to recruit a Transport Coordinator to support the day‑to‑day running of transport, production, and customer service operations. The role is varied and ideal for someone who enjoys a fast-paced environment and can confidently manage multiple priorities.

Package

• Monday to Friday, 8:00 am – 5:30 pm (early finish on Fridays when workload allows)
• £30,000 per annum
• 5% annual performance bonus

Transport Coordinator – Responsibilities

• Plan daily transport routes and coordinate collections
• Liaise with production, customers, drivers, and third‑party hauliers
• Process transport documentation and maintain accurate records
• Manage driver hours, vehicle checks, and fleet administration
• Monitor customer KPIs and provide regular reports
• Organise product transfers between sites
• Support accounts with month‑end administration when required

Transport Coordinator – Requirements

• Minimum 5 years’ B2B customer service experience
• Previous experience within transport, logistics, or production coordination is mandatory
• Strong Microsoft Excel and general IT skills (Sage experience desirable)
• Excellent organisation and attention to detail
• Able to work independently in a busy, fast‑paced environment
• Professional communication skills with a proactive, solutions‑focused approach
