Job summary

ScottishPower is seeking a Scheduling Technician for the Transmission Operations team at Eurocentral, operating a hybrid pattern (3 days in the office, 2 from home). The role focuses on developing and maintaining detailed project schedules for major transmission infrastructure projects across the network.

You will coordinate with engineers, contractors and operational staff to manage timelines, translate complex requirements into achievable schedules, and report progress to senior management.

Qualifications

• Experience in heavy industrial environments such as utilities or energy sectors.
• HNC in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• Proven experience with project scheduling or planning.
• Ability to manage multiple activities across sites and teams.
• Strong organisational and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication with diverse teams.
• Full UK driving licence due to travel.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain detailed project schedules for major transmission projects across the network.
• Coordinate with engineering teams, contractors and staff to manage timelines and resources.
• Translate complex requirements into practical schedules accounting for outages and workstreams.
• Monitor progress, identify deviations and implement corrective actions.
• Assess scheduling priorities, dependencies and constraints for informed decisions.
• Provide updates to project teams and senior management on status, risks and opportunities.
• Maintain scheduling records and documentation aligned with quality standards.
