Job summary

Wilson Power Solutions is seeking an on-site fitter for transformer and package substation installations. You will assemble, wire and test equipment on customer sites, occasionally pre-fitting in-house, and travel to UK and European sites to support commissioning.

You will read mechanical drawings, follow assembly instructions, and act as a customer-facing ambassador, delivering high service levels while prioritising safety. A driving licence and eligible qualifications are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience on site fitting distribution and power transformers and packages.
• Hands-on experience in mechanical/electrical engineering environment.
• Able to read mechanical and schematic drawings.
• Proven health & safety experience and risk assessment capability.
• Clean UK driving licence is essential.

Responsibilities

• On-site assembly, fitting, wiring and testing of transformers and packages.
• Travel to UK and European third-party sites to assemble and test equipment.
• Prepare work using drawings, instructions and parts lists; gather tools and parts.
• Serve as a customer-facing ambassador and deliver high service levels.
• Adhere to safety requirements, complete tasks with initiative amid changing priorities.
• Read and interpret mechanical/schematic drawings to ensure correct assembly.
