Ipsum is seeking a skilled Mechanical Engineer to join our on-site team, covering a range of transformer and high-voltage mechanical work across the UK. The role involves installation, maintenance and commissioning within electrical substations and industrial environments.

Candidates should be time-served, able to read technical drawings, hold a valid UK driving licence, and be willing to travel nationwide. Regular travel away from home is expected.

Qualifications

• Time-served Mechanical Fitter with industrial experience.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and engineering documentation.
• Full UK Driving Licence.

Responsibilities

• Install, dismantle, assemble and refurbish power transformers and associated mechanical equipment.
• Carry out mechanical installation, maintenance and inspection activities.
• Assist with testing and commissioning activities within competence levels.
• Maintain high standards of workmanship, safety and compliance across UK sites.
