Job description

Join a leading investment management firm as a Transformation Planning Lead, where you'll drive the prioritisation of high-value, strategically aligned change initiatives across the business. This is a permanent, hybrid role with two days a week based in the London office.

You’ll take ownership of the intake and prioritisation process, partnering closely with business leaders and delivery teams to determine feasibility, value, and timing. Working on a rolling 3–4 month planning cycle, your role will balance short-term responsiveness with long-term strategic focus.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as the primary gateway for all new transformation ideas and opportunities into the change function.
  • Lead the pipeline management process, from idea capture to handover for delivery readiness.
  • Engage senior stakeholders to understand business problems, communicate impacts, and manage expectations.
  • Develop and maintain a robust prioritisation framework to assess initiatives on cost, benefit, risk, strategic fit, and resource availability.
  • Facilitate tough prioritisation conversations, weeding out low-impact or non-viable change to safeguard delivery capacity.
  • Produce and review high-level business cases with clear value articulation, timelines, and risk assessment.
  • Drive continuous improvement in how change is identified, assessed, and onboarded into the portfolio.
  • Collaborate with change delivery, tech, data, architecture, finance, and compliance teams to validate feasibility and ensure readiness for execution.

Skillset and Requirements:

  • Proven experience working on strategic change initiatives within asset or investment management.
  • A strong track record in leading prioritisation processes, balancing competing interests with strategic alignment.
  • Experience refining intake processes and building or evolving prioritisation frameworks from the ground up.
  • A deep understanding of change management methodologies, planning and governance.
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement and the confidence to challenge assumptions constructively.
  • Analytical ability to assess initiatives using structured frameworks and present clear recommendations.
  • Exposure to AI, automation or data-led technologies and how they can streamline change planning is a plus.
  • Change delivery experience is highly desirable to build credibility with delivery teams and appreciate practical constraints.
