Biffa Group is seeking a Transfer Station Operative in Harrogate to help run a busy site. You will weigh vehicles, assist with recycling movements, and keep the yard orderly and safe, joining a close-knit team in an industrial environment.

The role requires operating equipment such as a telehandler, supporting drivers, and adapting to a busy but supportive site culture. Training is provided for weighbridge duties and safety processes.

Qualifications

• Plant certificates, Fork Lift Truck, telehandler.
• Comfortable working outdoors in all weather.

Responsibilities

• Operate the site weighbridge; full training provided.
• Assist with safe handling of mixed recycling using a telehandler.
• Support drivers with loading and unloading.
• Keep the site clean, tidy and safe.
• Perform routine equipment checks and report issues.
• Work with a small team in a non-hazardous waste environment.
• Follow site procedures to meet environmental and operational standards.
• Be flexible to cover other yard duties.
