Job summary

Ceredigion County Council in Aberystwyth is seeking a Training Officer within the Finance and Procurement service on a permanent full-time basis.

You will deliver administrative, legislative and system training for Revenues and Financial Assessments staff, supervise trainees, and provide expert guidance to internal and external stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of Financial Assessments (Housing Benefit/Council Tax Reduction).
• Experience with Revenues and customer service functions.
• Ability to develop training guidance and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Provide administrative, legislative and system training to staff.
• Supervise staff undertaking training and ensure quality checks.
• Offer expert advice on Revenues and Financial Assessments to stakeholders.
• Keep abreast of legislative changes and update training material.
• Assist in software testing of Revenues and Financial Assessments systems.
• Maintain training guidance, desk aids and procedures.
