Job summary

Capita plc is seeking an experienced trainer to deliver underwater warfare and SONAR training to Royal Navy personnel at HMS Collingwood, Portsmouth. The role requires delivering engaging training, sharing expertise, and supporting students.

Eligibility for UK Security Clearance at SC level is required; the position is on-site in Portsmouth, with term-time only basis and 37.5 hours weekly. The role offers development through Defence training programmes and opportunities to contribute to evolving

• Support students throughout their learning journey, helping them build confidence, capability and professional competence.
• Work alongside experienced instructors and learning specialists to continually improve training delivery.
• Maintain and develop your own skills through ongoing professional development and Defence training programmes.
• Contribute to the evolution of Royal Navy training by identifying improvements, sharing best practice and helping shape future learning solutions.

Job description

Help get better trained personnel to the front line faster - As part of the Under Water Training Element, you will play a key role in preparing Royal Navy personnel for operations at sea. Drawing on your expertise in SONAR systems, you will deliver engaging and practical training that develops students' understanding of underwater warfare and equips them with the skills needed to operate in a complex maritime environment.

Full-time role, 37.5 hours a week on a term time only basis

HMS Collingwood, Portsmouth

Due to the nature of this role, you must be eligible for UK Security Clearance at SC level.
