Job summary

Capita Selborne is seeking an instructor to deliver engaging training in underwater warfare and Royal Navy SONAR systems. You will develop students’ understanding of SONAR operations and contribute to their professional development within a defence training programme.

The role is full-time, 37.5 hours per week, term time only, with 45 weeks per year, based at HMS Collingwood/Portsmouth. Eligibility for UK Security Clearance at SC level is required.

Qualifications

• An understanding of the operation of Royal Navy SONAR systems.

Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging training in underwater warfare and SONAR systems to Royal Navy personnel (SONAR 2087, 2050, LOFAR).
• Share your technical knowledge and operational experience to help develop the next generation of warfare specialists.
• Support students throughout their learning journey, helping them build confidence, capability and professional competence.
• Work alongside experienced instructors and learning specialists to continually improve training delivery.
• Maintain and develop your own skills through ongoing professional development and Defence training programmes.
• Contribute to the evolution of Royal Navy training by identifying improvements, sharing best practice and helping shape future learning solutions.
