Job summary

Capita is recruiting a Training Delivery Instructor for Above Water Warfare at HMS Collingwood, Fareham. The role is full-time (37.5 hours/week) and requires eligibility for UK Security Clearance at SC level.

You will deliver engaging Above Water Warfare training and support the broader Warfare training program, collaborating with Royal Navy and defence colleagues to ensure high-quality learning experiences. Essential: experience with AWW Navy Weapons and excellent communication.

Qualifications

• Experience/background in AWW Navy Weapons.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Teaching/coaching experience is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging Above Water Warfare (Gunnery) training to trainees.
• Support the wider delivery of Warfare training for consistent learner experience.
• Share knowledge to develop training and introduce best practice where appropriate.
• Support continuous improvement across training delivery to meet quality and performance standards.
• Use modern teaching approaches and learning technology to enhance training delivery.
• Build strong relationships with Royal Navy, Defence, partner and civilian colleagues to deliver quality training.
• Use feedback and performance information to identify opportunities to improve training and trainee experience.
• Support changes and improvements across Warfare training in a security-conscious Defence environment.

• Support the wider delivery of Warfare training, helping ensure trainees receive a consistent and effective learning experience.
• Share your knowledge and experience to help develop and improve training, introducing best practice where appropriate.
• Support continuous improvement across training delivery, helping the team achieve quality and performance standards.
• Use modern teaching approaches and learning technology to enhance the way training is delivered.
• Build strong working relationships with Royal Navy, Defence, partner and civilian colleagues, working together to deliver the best possible training.
• Use feedback, performance information and your own experience to identify opportunities to improve training and the trainee experience.
• Support changes and improvements across Warfare training, working collaboratively with the wider team while operating effectively within a security-conscious Defence environment.
