Job summary

NVQ Assessor is seeking a qualified or trainee Retail Trainer/Assessor to support learners working toward New Apprenticeship Standards in Retail Team Leader, Team Leading, Customer Service and Business Admin.

Delivering Functional Skills Maths, English and ICT to level 2, you will conduct online and face-to-face observations, manage your diary, maintain learner progress records, and motivate learners to meet KPI targets. Travel flexibility is required.

Qualifications

• Holding relevant assessing qualifications or pursuing one (CAVA/TAQA/V1/A1).
• Experience in retail management level.
• Experience delivering workplace training.
• Excellent IT skills and comfortable with online remote delivery.
• Willingness to travel.

Responsibilities

• Assess and support learners toward New Apprenticeship Standards in Retail Team Leader; Team Leading; Customer Service and Business Admin.
• Deliver Functional Skills Maths, English and ICT to level 2.
• Conduct online and face-to-face observations to gather evidence.
• Manage diary to ensure timely visits and reviews.
• Maintain documentation on learners’ progress and motivate learners.
• Meet Assessor KPIs for visits, quality paperwork and administration.

Job description

£28,000 per annum (Depending on skills and experience)

This position is for either a qualified or trainee Retail Trainer / Assessor. Full training and support will be given to Trainee candidates to achieve the Assessor award.

You will Assess and support learners working towards New Apprenticeship Standards in Retail Team Leader; Team Leading; Customer Service and Business Admin. Delivering training and support to learners undertaking Functional Skills – Maths, English and ICT to level 2. This means you will need to conduct online and face to face observations of learners to gather evidence towards their qualifications.

Therefore it will be essential you manage your diary efficiently to ensure timely visits and reviews are conducted. Organise and maintain documentation on learners’ progress and support, advise and motivate learners. Overcome barriers to learning and adapt delivery to meet learners’ needs. Meet Assessor KPI’s in terms of timely visits, quality paperwork and general administration.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

• Hold relevant assessing qualifications or be working towards one such as CAVA , TAQA, V1, A1
• Must have experience of working within Retail at management level.
• Experience of delivering training within the workplace.
• Excellent IT skills and confident with online remote delivery.
• Must be flexible with travel.
• Must be an excellent communicator who is learner and quality focussed.
• Confident and professional with the ability to inspire and motivate people.
