Job summary

Allscreens Nationwide Ltd is seeking a Training & Development Manager to join the HR team in Middlesbrough. This on-site role focuses on crafting learning strategies within a manufacturing/engineering setting to enhance workforce capability and future talent pipelines.

The role involves delivering training programmes, establishing an LMS and competency framework, and collaborating with HR to drive apprenticeship and succession planning while ensuring safety and compliance.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a Training or Learning Development Specialist in a manufacturing or heavy engineering environment.
  • Strong track record in developing and executing successful training programmes.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Knowledge of traditional and modern training methods, including blended learning.
  • Exceptional organisational and time management skills with strong attention to detail.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive training and development strategy aligned with business objectives.
  • Create and maintain a Learning Management System and competency framework.
  • Design and deliver training programmes, materials and induction sessions.
  • Conduct training needs analyses and build tailored learning plans.
  • Manage training budgets and monitor ROI from programmes delivered.
  • Source and liaise with external providers and funding streams for training.
  • Work with HR and Talent Acquisition to design apprenticeship and succession planning initiatives.
  • Ensure training practices uphold safety standards and compliance requirements.
