Job summary

Luton Bennett is recruiting for a Trainee Workshop Engineer in Exeter. The role is permanent with a starting salary of £31,000–£34,000 and standard hours from 8:00 to 16:30, Monday to Thursday, with 16:00 finish on Fridays.

The successful candidate will receive excellent training and will work in a clean, well-stocked workshop. Overtime is paid at 1.5x and 2.0x rates, plus a 5% annual bonus, commissions, a pension, 25 days of holiday plus bank holidays, and a forklift driver licence supported by

Trainee Workshop Engineer role available in a highly successful manufacturer of forklift trucks. The company offer full training on the fleet of forklifts in a very clean, modern and well stocked workshop.

The Trainee Workshop Engineer role will suit those who have worked on machines, cars, plant, forklifts, HGV, agricultural, cleaning equipment or any other transferable industry.

The company will fully train and support engineers through the learning process. You need to demonstrate mechanical service and repair skills, ideally have engine diagnostic and some basic electrical skills.

You’ll be responsible for carrying out PDI, service and breakdown on a range of forklifts.
