Job summary

Currys in Basingstoke is hiring a Trainee White Goods Engineer to join our White Goods Repair Team. You’ll start with basic electrical knowledge and complete a comprehensive training program to step into the engineer role within 2–4 months.

The role involves testing, diagnosing and repairing appliances in customers’ homes, driving a company van, and providing great customer service. We offer 30 days leave, quarterly bonuses, product discounts and wellbeing benefits.

Qualifications

• Repair or installation experience which includes having worked with electric or electro-mechanical products.
• Electrical knowledge: demonstrable basic competence both in theory and practice.
• A passion for delivering great customer service.
• Ability to handle heavy White Goods (washing machines, dishwashers etc).
• A full valid UK driving licence with no more than 6 penalty points.

• Testing, diagnosing, and fixing white goods in our customers’ homes
