Job summary

Currys plc in Stevenage is seeking a Trainee White Goods Engineer to join the White Goods Repair Team. The role offers permanent, full-time work with a structured training path to advance to a qualified White Goods Engineer within 2-4 months, working in customers' homes and via phone support.

You will test, diagnose and fix appliances, drive a company van, and help build Currys' reputation as a home services expert, with a quarterly bonus and 30 days annual leave.

Qualifications

• Repair or installation experience which includes having worked with electric or electro‑mechanical products
• Electrical knowledge: demonstrable basic competence
• A passion for delivering great customer service
• Ability to handle heavy White Goods (washing machines, dishwashers etc)
• A full valid UK driving licence with no more than 6 penalty points

Responsibilities

• Testing, diagnosing, and fixing white goods in our customers’ homes
• Providing and implementing technical knowledge across a range of white goods appliances
• Driving a company van and managing your own day effectively
• Building our reputation as a home services expert
