Job summary

Currys is recruiting a Trainee White Goods Engineer to join the White Goods Repair Team in Stevenage. You’ll receive training to become a qualified White Goods Engineer within 2-4 months, with a typical 41-hour week and a quarterly bonus in addition to a base salary of £28,000–£32,000 depending on experience.

Role involves testing, diagnosing, and fixing appliances in customers’ homes, driving a company van, and delivering excellent customer service. Full UK driving licence required.

Qualifications

• Basic electrical knowledge with theory and practical skills.
• Strong customer service mindset and communication.
• Ability to handle heavy white goods (washing machines, dishwashers, etc).
• Full UK driving licence with no more than 6 penalty points.

Responsibilities

• Test, diagnose, and repair white goods in customers' homes.
• Provide and apply technical knowledge across white goods appliances.
• Drive a company van and manage daily tasks effectively.
• Help build Currys' reputation as a home services expert.
