Kingston Barnes Ltd in Stroud, Gloucestershire, is seeking a Trainee Vehicle Mechanic to join our workshop. You will work with an experienced team to repair and maintain a growing fleet of vehicles and plant, from small two-stroke equipment to large HGVs.

This is a permanent, full-time role paying £15 per hour for 40 hours per week (£31,200 per year). A full UK driving licence held for over two years is essential, and there is training including potential HGV category C progression.

TRAINEE VEHICLE MECHANIC - Stroud, Gloucestershire (GL6)

Positions available: Trainee or Junior Mechanic

Start date: As soon as possible

Duties: Working with and learning from an experienced team, you will be working as a fitter/mechanic to repair and maintain a growing fleet of vehicles and plant. The work ranges from small items of two stroke equipment to larger HGVs and construction plant. There will be training, so a trainee or junior Mechanic or newly qualified person would be ideal for this position.

Pay Rate & Hours: £15.00 per hour & 40 hours per week. (Equates to a salary of £31,200 per year)

Other details

• This is a permanent position.
• Applicants need to be able to drive the company vehicles, so a full driving licence held for over 2 years is essential.
• Hours are Monday to Thursday 8am until 5pm, Friday 8am until 2pm
• 20 days holidays per year plus bank holidays paid.
• There will be an opportunity to complete training including obtaining a category C, HGV licence.
