Job summary

Holt Recruitment Group in Gloucester is seeking an experienced HGV Technician/Mechanic for a permanent role. You will service, maintain and repair vehicles in line with manufacturer guidelines and industry standards.

Qualifications

• Experience as HGV Technician essential.
• Own tools required.
• City & Guilds/NVQ Level 3 in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance and Repair (or equivalent).
• Full UK driving licence required.
• Class 1 or Class 2 licence advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out servicing, maintenance and repairs in line with manufacturer guidelines and industry standards.
• Diagnosing faults efficiently using the latest diagnostic equipment and repair methods.
• Following warranty procedures throughout the repair process and completing all relevant documentation accurately.
• Reporting additional vehicle defects to ensure high standards of work.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out servicing, maintenance and repairs in line with manufacturer guidelines and industry standards.
• Diagnosing faults efficiently using the latest diagnostic equipment and repair methods.
• Following warranty procedures throughout the repair process and completing all relevant documentation accurately.
• Identifying and reporting any additional vehicle defects to the Workshop Controller to ensure the highest standard of work.

Requirements

• Previous experience working as an HGV Technician / HGV Mechanic / HGV Fitter is essential.
• Own tools required.
• Apprentice trained and qualified to City & Guilds/NVQ Level 3 in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance and Repair (or equivalent).
• A full UK driving licence.
• Class 1 or Class 2 licence would be advantageous.
