Job summary

Randstad Education in the United Kingdom is seeking a motivated Trainee Teacher to support pupils with SEN, delivering 1:1 and small-group activities under the guidance of experienced staff.

Based in a welcoming school with strong SEN provision, the role offers training to become a tutor and progression opportunities across primary and secondary ages. GCSEs are required, and a DBS check will be completed.

Qualifications

• Experience working with learners with SEN or SEND desirable but not essential.
• Ability to learn and build relationships with learners.
• Confidence to support in groups and in different subjects.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Flexible approach to education.
• GCSE Maths and English are required.

Responsibilities

• Provide assistance to the teacher according to planning.
• Work 1:1 with students.
• Provide group and/or individual activities planned by the teacher.
• Work with learners to develop work.
• Support learners' general well-being within the school structure.
• Monitor and evaluate students' learning under teacher guidance.
• Assist teachers in using management strategies for a purposeful learning environment.
• Support all learners in planned structured work across curriculum areas.

A team of caring, charismatic SEN workers are looking for an enthusiastic Trainee Teacher to join their team. This school has some amazing facilities that you are able to use alongside the students to help them with their development! You will be working 121 with Autistic students and helping to implement a personalised curriculum.

This setting supports primary and secondary aged pupils with Autism and associated needs. The setting is based on acres of land and has incredible resources including a forest school site. This school is recognised for its calm, purposeful atmosphere where every pupil is supported to succeed. Clear routines and gentle guidance help pupils feel secure. Pupils trust the school, processes set in place and the staff who support them and as a result of this trust pupils grow in confidence and independence.

Your responsibilities will include:

• -Providing assistance to the teacher defined according to weekly/daily/seasonal planning
• -Working 1:1 with students
• -Providing group and/or individual activities, planned by the teacher
• -Working individually with learners/students to develop work.
• -Supporting the general well being of learners within the structure of the school
• -Monitoring and evaluating students learning under the guidance of the teacher
• -Assisting teachers in the use of relevant management strategies to ensure a purposeful environment for teaching and learning to take place
• -Supporting all learners in their planned structured work in all curriculum areas

Key skills and experience needed:
