Job summary

Randstad Education is recruiting a Trainee Teacher to develop a personalised curriculum for pupils with Autism and associated needs. The role is based on extensive school-site resources and a calm, supportive atmosphere.

You will work 1:1 and in groups to implement planning, supporting learners toward confidence and independence while benefiting from a strong team and clear routines.

Qualifications

• Ability to work with learners with various SEN needs.
• Willingness to learn and build relationships with learners.
• Confidence to support lead in groups across subjects.
• Ability to work individually and as part of a team.
• Flexible approach to education and delivery.
• SEND settings experience is desirable but not essential.
• Right to work in the UK and GCSEs completed.

Responsibilities

• Provide assistance to the teacher according to planned activities.
• Work 1:1 with students to support learning goals.
• Deliver group and/or individual activities planned by the teacher.
• Support learners in developing work within the curriculum.
• Support learners' wellbeing within the school structure.
• Monitor and evaluate student learning under teacher guidance.
• Assist teachers with management strategies to maintain a purposeful learning environment.
• Support all learners in planned structured work across all subjects.

A team of caring, charismatic SEN workers are looking for an enthusiastic Trainee Teacher to join their team. This school has some amazing facilities that you are able to use alongside the students to help them with their development! You will be working 121 with Autistic students and helping to implement a personalised curriculum.

This setting supports primary and secondary aged pupils with Autism and associated needs. The setting is based on acres of land and has incredible resources including a forest school site. This school is recognised for its calm, purposeful atmosphere where every pupil is supported to succeed. Clear routines and gentle guidance help pupils feel secure. Pupils trust the school, processes set in place and the staff who support them and as a result of this trust pupils grow in confidence and independence.

Your responsibilities will include:

• -Providing assistance to the teacher defined according to weekly/daily/seasonal planning
• -Working 1:1 with students
• -Providing group and/or individual activities, planned by the teacher
• -Working individually with learners/students to develop work.
• -Supporting the general well being of learners within the structure of the school
• -Monitoring and evaluating students learning under the guidance of the teacher
• -Assisting teachers in the use of relevant management strategies to ensure a purposeful environment for teaching and learning to take place
• -Supporting all learners in their planned structured work in all curriculum areas
