Job summary

Randstad Education in East Grinstead is seeking a Trainee Teacher to support Autistic learners and contribute to a personalised curriculum. You will work 1:1 with students and assist the teacher in delivering planned activities, helping to create a calm, structured learning environment on site.

The role offers training to become a tutor, with strong facilities and a supportive team. You will help pupils develop confidence and independence while adhering to school routines and safeguarding

Qualifications

• Ability to work with learners with various SEN needs.
• A willingness to learn and build relationships with learners.
• Confidence to support leads in groups and different subjects.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Flexible in approach to education.
• Experience in SEND settings is desirable but not essential.
• Right to work in the UK.
• GCSE Maths and English.

Responsibilities

• Providing assistance to the teacher according to planning.
• Working 1:1 with students.
• Providing group and/or individual activities planned by the teacher.
• Working with learners to develop work.
• Supporting learners' well-being within the school structure.
• Monitoring and evaluating students' learning under guidance.
• Assisting teachers with management strategies to create a purposeful environment.
• Supporting all learners in their planned work across curriculum areas.

A team of caring, charismatic SEN workers are looking for an enthusiastic Trainee Teacher to join their team. This school has some amazing facilities that you are able to use alongside the students to help them with their development! You will be working 121 with Autistic students and helping to implement a personalised curriculum.

This setting supports primary and secondary aged pupils with Autism and associated needs. The setting is based on acres of land and has incredible resources including a forest school site. This school is recognised for its calm, purposeful atmosphere where every pupil is supported to succeed. Clear routines and gentle guidance help pupils feel secure. Pupils trust the school, processes set in place and the staff who support them and as a result of this trust pupils grow in confidence and independence.

Your responsibilities will include:

• -Providing assistance to the teacher defined according to weekly/daily/seasonal planning
• -Working 1:1 with students

• -Working individually with learners/students to develop work.
• -Supporting the general well being of learners within the structure of the school
• -Monitoring and evaluating students learning under the guidance of the teacher
• -Assisting teachers in the use of relevant management strategies to ensure a purposeful environment for teaching and learning to take place
• -Supporting all learners in their planned structured work in all curriculum areas
