Charlie Bigham's Quarry Kitchen in Dulcote (near Wells) is seeking a Trainee Team Leader to cover a 12‑month maternity leave. You will support day‑to‑day warehouse operations, lead a team, and help drive safety, quality, and efficiency in a fast-paced chilled environment.

The role offers hands-on leadership development, with opportunities to grow into a Team Leader position within the business. Experience in logistics or warehousing and a proactive, reliable approach are valued.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a warehouse, logistics, or chilled environment.
• Ready to step into leadership with a proactive and reliable approach.
• Comfortable working in a temperature-controlled environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead your area to deliver daily plans safely, efficiently, and on time.
• Set the tone each shift with clear, engaging team briefs.
• Manage labour, breaks, and holidays to optimise performance.
• Maintain high standards in quality, GMP, 5S, and Health & Safety.
• Resolve issues quickly, escalating risks to minimise disruption.
• Drive team engagement, performance, and continuous improvement.
• Ensure accurate reporting, data capture, and operational communication.
• Support team development through training, coaching, and performance reviews.
