Job summary

FM Conway Ltd in Chelsfield is recruiting a Trainee Supervisor to learn how to run a busy recycling depot within the Aggregate and Asphalt division. You will support a day and night team, order parts, and be the face of the depot while learning the weighbridge and depot processes.

The role is full-time on a 12-month contract with potential permanent employment, working Monday to Friday 07:30am-4:30pm. A full UK driving licence and teamwork skills are essential.

Qualifications

• IT skills required to support depot operations.

Responsibilities

• Quality control of materials and quick problem spotting.
• Support a day and night team across shifts.
• Learn the role of the weighbridge.
• Organise payment to suppliers to ensure timely payments.
• Assist the recycling manager with depot duties.
• Organise parts with suppliers, raise POs, and arrange fitting.
• Work with engineers to organise depot maintenance.
• Prepare end-of-month reports.

Job description

FM Conway is looking to recruit a Trainee Supervisor to join the Aggregate and Asphalt division based in Chelsfield. As our Trainee Supervisor you will learn how to run a busy recycling depot from the current supervisor, ordering parts, supporting a day and night team, looking after the team of engineers, allocating payment to customers and being the face of a busy depot. This is a full-time position on a 12-month contract subject to permanent employment at the end of your contract, working Monday- Friday, 07:30am-4:30pm.

The duties of the Trainee Supervisor role will include:

• Quality control of materials being quick and efficient to spot a problem if one arises
• Support a team across day and night shifts
• Learn the role of the weighbridge
• Organise payment to suppliers to ensure they are paid correctly and on time
• Assist the recycling manager with duties within the depot
• Organising parts with suppliers, raising po’s and organising fitting when they have arrived on site
• Work closely with the team of engineers to organise maintenance across the depot
• End of month reporting

What skills and experience do you need?

We are looking for candidates who are willing to learn and hold a full UK driving license. To be considered for this role it is essential that you are a team player, with good verbal and written communication skills as well as IT skills.
