Job summary

North Cumbria Integrated Care NHS Foundation Trust is recruiting a Trainee Advanced Clinical Practitioner (tACP) to support the Hyper-Acute Stroke Unit (HASU) on the Cumberland Infirmary site and the Stroke Rehabilitation ward at West Cumberland Hospital. The role offers up to 30 hours per week with a planned Trainee ACP Masters in 2027, requiring day-time access to learning opportunities during training.

Qualifications

• Educated to master's degree level.
• Evidence of ILS provider capability.
• Non-medical prescriber or ability to undertake training.
• ALS provider/instructor qualification or ability to undertake training.

Responsibilities

• Manage complete clinical care for stroke patients within the unit.
• Undertake comprehensive physical and mental health assessments and determine treatment.
• Prescribe medication, order investigations and refer as needed.
• Provide clinical leadership and support to nursing teams in developing the Stroke service.
