Job summary

University Hospitals Dorset in Bournemouth seeks an Advanced Clinical Practitioner (Band 8a) or trainee ACP to support Stroke/TIA services. The post manages day-to-day acute stroke care and TIA pathways from Royal Bournemouth Hospital.

The ACP must hold Masters-level registration or be working toward it; professional registration is required. AI tools may be used, but integrity remains essential to recruitment.

Qualifications

• Professional registration with relevant professional body.
• English at GCSE grade C/4 or Functional Skill Level 2; Maths at GCSE grade C/4 or Functional Skill Level 2.
• Expectation to undertake and complete an MSc level Advanced Clinical Practice.
• Non-medical Prescriber and mentoring qualification or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily Stroke/TIA SDEC and acute stroke pathways with minimal supervision.
• Own the advanced practice caseload for Stroke/TIA services in collaboration with senior colleagues.
• Demonstrate MSc-level capabilities across clinical practice, leadership, education and research.
