Job summary

Impact Energy Partners is seeking a Solar PV Installer / Electrician to join our renewable energy team across residential, commercial and industrial projects in Hertfordshire and surrounding areas.

You will install, test and commission Solar PV systems, mount panels, connect inverters and electrical components, and perform fault-finding while ensuring safety and regulatory compliance. Ongoing training and progression are provided.

Qualifications

• Previous Solar PV installation experience.
• NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation (or equivalent).
• 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (BS7671).
• Full UK Driving Licence.
• Ability to work at height and in varying weather conditions.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and teamworking abilities.

Responsibilities

• Install Solar PV systems on residential, commercial and industrial projects.
• Mount photovoltaic panels on roofs, ground-mounted systems and supporting structures.
• Install and connect inverters, cabling and associated electrical components.
• Carry out system testing, fault finding and troubleshooting activities.
• Ensure all installations comply with electrical regulations, safety standards and project specifications.
• Assist with site preparation and mechanical installation works where required.
• Use hand and power tools safely and effectively to complete installations.
• Maintain a clean, safe and organised working environment on-site.
