Job summary

Finlay Jude Recruitment is assisting a leading utilities organisation to recruit Trainee Smart Meter Technicians. In this field-based role you will install data logging devices to monitor water network performance and support leakage, pressure management and water usage.

No prior experience is required as full training, equipment and a company van with fuel card are provided. You will work Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week, with potential overtime.

Qualifications

• A positive attitude and strong work ethic.
• Full UK driving licence required.
• 40 hours per week, Mon–Fri.
• Excellent customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Install and maintain water sensors to record acoustics, pressure and flow.
• Use specialist equipment.
• Complete timesheets, survey forms and leakage reports.
• Ensure health and safety compliance.
• Collaborate with Team Leaders and fellow technicians.
• Report accidents and near misses promptly.
• Follow vehicle safety processes and perform daily checks.
• Uphold company values and professional behaviour.
