Job summary

Medstrom is seeking a Trainee Service Technician in Sheffield with a clean UK driving licence to deliver and maintain products in clinical environments. After training you will set up products at patient sites, perform safety tests, and support decontamination routines within a defined career pathway.

The role offers 37.5 hours weekly (Mon–Fri 8:30–17:00, weekends every 4 weeks with days off), on-call payments, and comprehensive training.

Qualifications

• Mechanical or electrical background desirable, but not essential, as full training will be provided
• Experience working within a healthcare setting is desirable
• Full UK driving licence required (we use long wheelbase vans, but training and support to build confidence in manoeuvring these vehicles will be provided where required)

Responsibilities

• Driving the company van to different hospitals within the region
• Delivering clean, ready-to-use products to and around customer sites
• Collecting products after use and transporting them to the service location for decontamination
• Disinfecting, function checking, repairing, and electrical safety testing products
• Completing records of testing, delivery, and collection
• Maintaining available product stock and spare parts inventory
• Completing product modifications when required
• Providing product demonstrations and basic training to staff
• Maintaining a clean and tidy work environment
