gap technical is seeking a Trainee Recruitment Consultant to join its engineering recruitment division in Huntingdon on a hybrid basis. You will help match engineers with opportunities and develop relationships with clients and candidates.

The role suits fresh graduates or those new to recruitment, offering training, a competitive salary (£28k-£35k) plus commission, home-working flexibility, pension, healthcare, and 25 holidays.

We're looking for a Trainee Recruitment Consultant to join our growing engineering recruitment business. Whether you have previous recruitment experience or are looking to take your first step into the industry, we're more interested in your attitude, ambition and willingness to learn. You'll be working within the engineering recruitment sector, helping businesses find highly skilled engineering professionals while developing long-term relationships with both clients and candidates.

What You'll Be Doing

• Building strong relationships with candidates
• Sourcing and engaging with candidates through various channels
• Conducting candidate interviews and understanding their career goals
• Managing the recruitment process from initial conversation through to placement
• Advertising vacancies and proactively searching for suitable candidates
• Negotiating salaries, fees and offers
• Maintaining accurate candidate and client records
• Developing your knowledge of different recruitment market
• Working towards individual and team sales targets

You'll ideally have:
