Air Charter Service, the leading aviation broker with a global presence, is seeking a Trainee Operations Controller. Join our Surbiton head office to help provide around-the-clock coverage and operational support for brokers worldwide.

You will learn in a busy, hands-on environment, assisting with flight monitoring, CRM updates and day-of-flight problem solving. The role suits highly motivated individuals willing to work 12-hour shifts, including nights, weekends and bank holidays.

Qualifications

• Fluency in English is essential.
• Willing to work 12-hour shifts including nights, weekends and bank holidays.
• Must live within 45 minutes commute of Surbiton HQ.

Responsibilities

• Provide 24/7 365 coverage and operational support to ACS brokers worldwide, in person from Surbiton based Head Office.
• Work closely with onsite rep team and customer experience to mitigate any issues on day of flight.
• Provide operational information and assist in delivery charters for all brokers in all global divisions.
• Be there every step of the way with live charter flights – providing a full service to our brokers and advising if there are any potential issues.
• Flight Watching, tracking all aspects of the flight, keeping the brokers informed and sending movement messages to brokers (and clients when requested).
• Building relationships with airline operators, FBOs and airports worldwide.
• Continuous duty for OCC to update ACS CRM and compliance systems – updating Airline/Airport/Handling information to ensure ACS has the most accurate and up-to-date data available.
• Completing daily reports and communications to be sent out to worldwide teams and management, advising brokers of potential risks to upcoming operations.
• Balancing operational constraints with service goals (on-time performance, passenger satisfaction).
• Additional language skills desirable: French, German, Spanish, Arabic, Italian, Portuguese, or Mandarin.
