Job summary

WCG is recruiting trainee teachers to join our English & Maths department. The role is a full-time, permanent pathway where you train, qualify, and gain classroom experience over three years.

You will combine hands-on teaching with expert mentorship, completing the Award in Education and Training in year 1 and the Diploma in Teaching in years 2 and 3, while continuing professional development and safeguarding responsibilities.

Qualifications

• Minimum Level 3 qualification in Maths (or related subject).
• Degree in any subject.
• Willingness to undertake courses to gain Teacher Training Qualification.

Responsibilities

• Deliver Maths teaching as part of a 3-year progression model.
• Complete the Award in Education and Training in Year 1 and the Diploma in Teaching in Years 2 and 3.
• Prepare and assess materials, record-keeping, and course planning.
• Mentor with a dedicated Advanced Practitioner team and Literacy/Numeracy buddy.
• Utilise CPD and non-contact time for development.
• Undertake administration and contribute to quality processes.
• Safeguard and promote welfare of learners and ensure a safe teaching environment.
