Job summary

WCG is recruiting trainee teachers to join our English & Maths department. The role is full time and permanent. If you have a Level 3 in English and a degree in any subject, we would love to hear from you.

Through our teacher development programme, you can train, qualify, and gain experience as a teacher over the next 3 years. You will experience hands-on classroom practice with expert mentorship in a supportive college environment.

Qualifications

• IT skills and admin skills are required.
• Applicants should be willing to gain a teaching qualification.
• English skills and knowledge are essential.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality Maths teaching as part of a 3-year progression model (Year 1–3).
• Complete the Award in Education and Training in Year 1 and the Diploma in Teaching in Years 2–3.
• Prepare teaching materials and manage course planning, assessment and record-keeping.
• Work with a mentor from the Advanced Practitioner team and a teaching buddy from Literacy and Numeracy.
• Engage in CPD, non-contact time, cross-college reflection groups, and routine quality processes.
