Job summary

WCG invites ambitious graduates to join its in-house teacher development programme. Trainee teachers work in Maths and English with hands-on classroom practice, earning while you learn under expert mentorship.

You will progress through a structured 3-year pathway, completing the Award in Education and Training in Year 1 and the Diploma in Teaching in Years 2 and 3, while gaining real-world teaching experience.

Qualifications

• Degree in any subject.
• Willingness to complete teacher training.
• Passion for inspiring young minds.
• Interest in Maths and English.

Responsibilities

• Deliver Maths teaching as part of a 3-year progression model.
• Complete the Award in Education and Training in Year 1.
• Complete the Diploma in Teaching during Years 2 and 3.
• Prepare and assess teaching materials and course documentation.
• Mentor with an Advanced Practitioner and a teaching buddy.
• Engage in CPD, shadowing, and cross-college peer support.
• Undertake administrative tasks and support college quality processes.
