Surelock McGill Group is seeking a Trainee Installation Engineer to join their installation and service team across the UK. You will be trained to install, service and maintain specialist security doors and locks at customer sites.
No prior locksmith or door engineering experience is required; candidates with the right attitude and willingness to learn will be trained. A full UK driving licence and willingness to travel are essential.

We will train you! Surelock McGill Group is looking for practical, reliable people to join our installation and service team. You don't need to be an experienced locksmith or door engineer. We can teach you the technical side of the job. What we're really looking for is someone with a good attitude, strong work ethic and willingness to learn. Working alongside experienced members of our team, you'll be trained to install, service and maintain specialist security doors, locks and associated products at customer sites across the UK. No two weeks are necessarily the same. You'll work at a wide variety of interesting sites and, as your experience develops, you'll be given more responsibility and the opportunity to progress.
You don't need specific industry experience. We're more interested in finding the right person. You will need:
Experience in construction, joinery, engineering, installation, maintenance, locksmithing or similar practical work would be useful, but it isn't essential. We'll provide the training You'll receive hands-on training from experienced engineers and learn how to install and maintain our specialist security products. As your skills and experience grow, there will be opportunities to develop within the role and take on more responsibility. Because some of our customers operate secure sites, you will also need to be able to successfully complete the appropriate security vetting. We will guide you through this process.
