Job summary

Elix Sourcing Solutions in Leicester is seeking a Trainee Engineer - Installations to join our engineering and manufacturing group. You'll shadow experienced engineers, receive an extensive training platform, and work on installing and servicing automated garage and security equipment at pre-booked appointments.

Starting salary £26,000–£28,000 with Monday–Friday 07:30–16:30, full UK driving license required, and local to Leicester.

Qualifications

• Full UK driving license is required.
• Experience with hand tools or basic engineering skills.
• Keen to learn and develop in a fast-growing team.

Responsibilities

• Shadow a team of engineers and participate in installation and service tasks at customer sites.
• Visit a range of jobs daily and complete installation tasks on automated garage and security equipment.
• Progress to visiting customers independently and taking on more responsibility over time.

Do you have basic construction, engineering or hand tools experience? Do you want an exciting career within an industry leading engineering & manufacturing group who pride themselves on excellent staff training and development?

Due to continued growth, my client is looking for a trainee engineer to join the team in the Leicester area. The successful applicant will be shadowing a team of experienced engineers and will have access to an excellent training platform. You will have your schedule planned for you and will be visiting a range of jobs on a daily basis completing installation & service tasks. Once trained up you will be able to visit customers independently and carry out a range of installation & service tasks, you are working on automated garage and security equipment and will be shown how to correctly install and understand company and industry products. Customers are usually home owners or new build project / site managers with pre booked appointments.

This is an excellent opportunity to join an industry leading group who have been at the forefront of their industry for many years. You will be working for the direct manufacturer and further progression opportunities including management will be available later down the line.
