Job summary

Omega Red Group, the UK market leader in earthing, lightning protection and height safety, is seeking a Trainee Fall Protection Operative to join our nationwide Height Safety team. You’ll train with experienced engineers and assist with installation, inspection, testing, and repair of height safety systems.

This hands-on role offers NVQ training and a clear path for career progression, with opportunities to work across sites nationwide and gain industry-recognised qualifications.

Qualifications

• Positive attitude and willingness to learn new skills.
• Interest in practical, hands-on work and field-based environment.
• Willingness to travel nationwide.
• Proactive and reliable approach to work.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Confidence working at height, or willingness to develop.

Responsibilities

• Assist experienced engineers with installation, testing, inspection, and repair of height safety systems.
• Learn industry best practices and safe working procedures on sites across the UK.
• Support project delivery, ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently and to a high standard.
• Maintain high standards of health, safety and quality at all times.
• Follow risk assessments and safe systems of work.
• Develop technical skills through practical on-the-job training and formal learning opportunities.
• Contribute positively to the team and demonstrate a willingness to learn
