Job summary

Omega Red Group is a recognised UK leader in earthing, lightning protection and height safety. We are recruiting a Trainee Fall Protection Operative to join our growing Height Safety team in Leatherhead. You’ll train hands-on, assist with installation, inspection, testing and repair across sites nationwide.

You’ll have access to industry-recognised training, NVQ in Working at Heights after a qualifying period, and a clear path for long-term development within the business.

Qualifications

• Willingness to travel nationwide and work field-based.
• Confidence working at height.
• Experience in construction or related trades.
• CSCS Card required.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist engineers with installation, testing, inspection and repair of height safety systems.
• Learn safe working procedures on a variety of UK sites.
• Support project delivery, ensuring work is safe, efficient and high quality.
• Maintain high standards of health, safety and quality at all times.
• Follow risk assessments and safe systems of work.
• Develop technical skills through on-the-job training and formal learning.
• Contribute positively to the team and show willingness to learn.

Omega Red Group is looking for a Trainee Fall Protection Operative to join our growing Height Safety team. This is an excellent

opportunity for someone who is keen to learn and build a long-term career within the industry, regardless of previous experience.

You’ll work alongside experienced engineers, receiving full training whole assisting with the installation, inspection, testing,

and repair of height safety systems across a range of sites nationwide.

As part of your development, you’ll have access to industry-recognised training and qualifications, including the opportunity to

work towards an NVQ training in Working at Heights following a qualifying period. If you’re motivated, safety-conscious, and eager

Key Responsibilities

• Assist experienced engineers with the installation, testing, inspection, and repair of height safety systems

• An interest in practical, hands-on work and working in a field-based environment
• A flexible approach, with willingness to travel nationwide
• A proactive and reliable approach to work
• Good communication and teamwork skills
• Confidence working at height, or a willingness to develop in this area
• A strong commitment to health, safety and quality
• Experience within construction, engineering, maintenance, roofing, or other practical trades
• CSCS Card
• Previous experience working outdoors or in a field-based role
