Job summary

Aztec Group is seeking a Senior Associate (Band 2) to advance expertise, nurture relationships, and own outcomes. You will grow subject matter knowledge, contribute to process improvements, and mentor newer team members to support Aztec's future ambitions.

You will manage accounting for fund structures, interpret LPAs, assist with audits, lead client calls, and ensure internal controls and records are maintained.

Qualifications

• Lead accounting for fund structures including equalisation and carry calculations.
• Apply complex LPA requirements to accounting processes.
• Assist with complex audit queries and client communications.
• Mentor junior staff and review their work for quality.

Responsibilities

• Complete all accounting for a portfolio of fund structures with accurate equalisation and carry calculations.
• Interpret and apply complex LPA requirements to accounting processes.
• Provide assistance with more complex audit queries.
• Take an increasing lead in regular client calls and correspondence.
• Undertake reviews of junior staff's work for accuracy and consistency.
• Maintain internal control frameworks and accurate records on systems and Excel.
• Support with tax returns where relevant and assist fund administration as needed.

About The Role

As a Senior Associate (Band 2), you will be responsible for developing your expertise, building meaningful relationships and taking ownership for outcomes. This will be achieved through growing subject matter expertise, contributing to process improvements and offering insights based on experience. You will be open-minded and embrace change whilst valuing diverse perspectives and channelling a 'can-do' attitude. You will support business and people growth, contributing towards team initiatives and mentoring newer team members, to enable Aztec's future ambitions.

• Complete all aspects of accounting matters for a portfolio of fund structures, including the accurate preparation of equalisation and carry calculations
• Interpret and apply more complex LPA (Limited Partnership Agreement) requirements to accounting processes
• Provide assistance with completion of more complex audit queries
• Take an increasing lead in regular client calls and correspondence
• Undertake soft reviews of the work produced by more junior team members
• Ensure Aztec internal control frameworks are followed in full
• Maintain accurate records on internal systems and Microsoft Excel, working paper schedules for all aspects of accounting
• Deal with the preparation and reconciliation of periodic direct and indirect tax returns to the extent relevant
• Act as a mentor to junior staff under the supervision of senior staff
• Support with and/or complete fund administration processes as required.
