Job summary

First Choice Staff is recruiting a Trainee Road Transport Agent near Heathrow to help manage daily truck operations and oversee the smooth flow of Ground Network Services shipments.

Training will be provided in all areas as you work the 4-on-4-off day shifts, with a focus on Freight industry fundamentals, data entry, and customer coordination. Prior experience in freight is required to apply.

Qualifications

• Prior experience in freight/logistics preferred.
• Willingness to work a 4-on-4-off day shift.
• Attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.

Responsibilities

• Support daily truck operations and freight flow.
• Enter data accurately into the operational system.
• Assist with route planning and truck utilization.
• Interact with customers and suppliers to arrange shipments.
• Maintain compliance with internal and government regulations.
• Adhere to SOPs and meet KPI standards.
• Escalate issues to management when necessary.

Job Description

Learning to manage daily truck operations and the smooth flow of Ground Network Services shipments through the network.

Training will be given in all areas, candidate needs to be happy to work 4/4 day shifts and have a passion to work in the Freight industry

Duties and Responsibilities - Training given in the following

• Ensure smooth and timely freight process flow
• Ensure accurate and timely data entry into our operational system
• Optimizing route planning and truck utilization
• Interact with our customers (internal and external) in arranging their shipments, meeting customer service standards.
• Contribute to and maintain a good relationship with suppliers
• Meet compliance at all times to regulations internal and external in accordance with government regulations.
• Understand department process flow, and looking for best practices to improve operational efficiency and productivity
• Ensure all standard operating procedures in place
• Meet KPI standards in accordance with the Company's procedures
• Timely communication
• Escalation of problems to Management when necessary

Salary c£26k plus a shift allowance plus amazing staff perks :)
