Our services include Fire Compartmentation Surveys, Fire Door Surveys, Fire Stopping and Fire Compartmentation Works, executed as part of a rolling programme of annual inspection and/or rectification works required across multi-occupancy housing, buildings of public amenity, healthcare facilities, education establishments, student accommodation blocks and security sensitive office buildings and workplaces.

Trainee Fire Door Surveyor – Train to become a certified Fire Door Inspector

Location: Milton Keynes covering South / Midlands (with travel and occasional overnight stays)

Salary: Starting £26k + Company van + Bonus

This is a fantastic opportunity at NEO Property Solutions to grow our Surveying team. The successful candidates will travel across the UK to survey sites and report back for our joiners to complete installations or repairs.

This role is ideal for someone with a Building Services degree seeking their first industry role or an experienced Fire Stopper / Joiner looking to move away from manual work.

The role requires excellent customer service skills, good administration, and a keen eye for detail.

The role:

As a Fire Door Surveyor, you will visit various building types to perform fire door condition surveys, including occupied housing blocks, student accommodations, care homes, public buildings, schools, supermarkets, and universities.

You will need to meet access protocols and customer care procedures when liaising with clients to gain access for surveys.

Surveys will be conducted using 'Bolster' software on a smartphone app, where doors are tagged and assessed based on prompts and repair techniques. Each survey takes about 10 minutes and involves measurements and photographic records.

Working independently, you will maintain communication with your manager and planning team to record outputs, validate results, and finalize reports for clients.

The role suits motivated team players with good organizational skills and survey experience, who use initiative to meet targets.

Key Skills:

• Full UK driving license

• Recognized fire door inspection qualifications (e.g., BM Trada / FDIS / BRE)
