Job summary

Global OEM in Bristol seeks a Trainee Field Service Engineer to diagnose and fix machine tool issues, train customers on operation and safety, and perform routine service. You will join a program that provides formal training and rapid development into a hands-on technical expert role.

The ideal candidate has an engineering qualification (HNC/degree) and hands-on competency, with potential prior field experience in machine tools or as an apprentice-trained engineer. Reference BBBH26621.

Qualifications

• Engineering qualification required: HNC or Degree.
• Hands-on, mechanically competent with understanding of electrical/hydraulic and mechanical drawings.
• Previous field experience in machine tools is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and rectify machine problems and breakdowns.
• Train customers in operation, maintenance and safety aspects.
• Conduct routine service of machines and related equipment.
• Promote consumable sales and maintenance contracts.
• Promote sales of machine tools and associated equipment.
