Ernest Gordon Recruitment Limited is seeking a Trainee Field Service Engineer to join a global OEM in the M5 Corridor Bristol region. The role offers comprehensive formal training to develop into a hands-on technical expert, with a £32,100 package including basic salary, bonus, private healthcare, company car, and full expensing and tooling support.

Qualifications

• Engineering qualification (HNC or degree) is required.
• Field experience in machine tools preferred or apprentice-trained engineers.
• Hands-on with ability to read electrical/hydraulic and mechanical drawings/schematics.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and rectify machine problems and breakdowns.
• Train customers in operation, maintenance, and safety aspects.
• Routine service of machines and associated equipment.
• Promote consumable sales and maintenance contracts.
• Promote sales of machine tools and associated equipment.
