Job summary

Gi Group in Nottingham (Colwick Industrial Estate) is seeking a Trainee Estimator. This role offers full training to review drawings, calculate project costs, liaise with suppliers and support the tender process from enquiry through to handover.

You will work with production, project and commercial teams, learning to build estimating records and develop strong relationships with customers and suppliers. Training will equip you for a long-term career in estimating.

Qualifications

• Engineering/manufacturing background required or preferred.
• Able to read technical information and drawings.
• Good numerical and organisational skills.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Keen to develop a long-term career in estimating.

Responsibilities

• Review customer enquiries, drawings and specifications.
• Assist in preparing detailed cost estimates.

Trainee Estimator

Location: Nottingham (Colwick Industrial Estate)

Pay: 15.00 per hour

Hours:

• Monday to Thursday: 08:30am to 4:30pm
• Friday: 8:00am to 3:30pm

The Opportunity

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with an engineering or manufacturing background who would like to move into an estimating role. Full training can be provided for the right candidate.

As a Trainee Estimator, you will learn how to review technical drawings, calculate project costs, liaise with suppliers and support the tendering process from enquiry through to project handover.
