Elix Sourcing Solutions is seeking a Trainee Engineer to join our installation team in the Brighton area. The role offers a structured training programme with a defined progression path through hands-on field work on automated garage and security equipment.

Initial tasks include shadowing experienced engineers, visiting various jobs daily, and performing installation and service tasks. A full UK driving license is required, with local travel across a regional patch.

Qualifications

• Full UK driving license is required.
• Experience with hand tools or basic engineering skills.
• Keen to learn and develop in a field-based installation role.

Responsibilities

• Shadow engineers and assist with installation and service tasks.
• Visit customers daily to complete installation tasks on a regional patch.
• Once trained, visit customers independently to perform installation and service work on automated garage and security equipment.

Do you have basic construction, engineering or hand tools experience? Do you want an exciting career within an industry leading engineering & manufacturing group who pride themselves on excellent staff training and development?

Due to continued growth, my client is looking for a trainee engineer to join the team in the Brighton area. The successful applicant will be shadowing a team of experienced engineers and will have access to an excellent training platform. You will have your schedule planned for you and will be visiting a range of jobs on a daily basis completing installation & service tasks. Once trained up you will be able to visit customers independently and carry out a range of installation & service tasks, you are working on automated garage and security equipment and will be shown how to correctly install and understand company and industry products. Customers are usually home owners or new build project / site managers with pre booked appointments.
