MEMS Power Generation, based in Alfreton, is seeking a local Trainee Engineer to assist with generator maintenance and repair, both in the workshop and on customer premises. The role requires an engineering background with at least 2 years of hands-on experience, a full driving licence, and a proactive, customer-focused attitude.

Hours:Average of39.5 hours per week, 5 days on and 3 days off, 7.30am to 5pm. Working weekends and bank holidays is a
requirement.

You will have at least 2 years practical working experience within in an engineering or workshop environment. Experience working
with engines is preferred.
You will pride yourself on your excellent customer service skills and “can do” attitude. You will ideally have a natural interest
in engineering and ‘how things work’. It is an essential requirement to have a full drivers licence; good communication skills;
positive work ethos and be physically fit.
You will assist with the undertaking of all aspects of generator maintenance and repair on a reactive and proactive basis
alongside our team of engineers who have a wide range of skills; experience and knowledge within the generator industry. Work will
be carried out at our workshop and depot in Alfreton and on customers premises which will include some face to face customer
service.
This is an exciting opportunity for a local Trainee Engineer who is looking to develop their skills, knowledge and experience

Working outside of normal hours will be a requirement for which overtime will be paid at 1.5 times the hourly rate once the
probationary period is passed.
