Job summary

Lincolnshire Partnership NHS Foundation Trust invites applications for a Trainee Education Mental Health Practitioner (EMHP) within our Mental Health Support Team. This 12‑month fixed-term post combines training with practical experience to support children and young people with mild to moderate mental health difficulties in educational settings.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in a relevant subject with entry requirements for the postgraduate diploma.
• Graduate Diploma (Level 6) entry requirements or equivalent academic credit.
• Successful completion of the NHSE Education Mental Health Practitioner course on qualification.
• BABCP or BPS registration as an EMHP is required.

Responsibilities

• Deliver direct support to students in education settings, including one-on-one and group sessions.
• Collaborate with teachers and school staff to identify students needing mental health support and develop intervention plans.
• Promote student well-being through Whole School Approach activities and resources for students, parents, and staff.
• Complete the funded Postgraduate Diploma to become an accredited EMHP.
