Oxford Health NHS Foundation Trust is seeking candidates for a Trainee Education Mental Health Practitioner (EMHP) to deliver early, evidence-based interventions for children and young people in school settings and related healthcare environments.

The role is a full-time training position with study at the University of Southampton to qualify as an EMHP. Successful candidates will be employed within Buckinghamshire schools and may travel to teaching sessions.

Qualifications

• Role requires training to become a qualified EMHP.
• Deliver evidence-based early interventions with children and young people.

Responsibilities

• Deliver evidence-based intervention for children and young people in education settings.
• Help children and young people access specialist services for more severe problems.
• Support education staff to identify and manage mental health issues.
• Work with education environments to improve access to specialist mental health services.
• Record progress towards an academic award and demonstrate practical ability.
