Job summary

Lincolnshire Partnership NHS Foundation Trust is advertising a Trainee Education Mental Health Practitioner (EMHP) in a Band 4, 12‑month fixedTerm post. The role includes a fully funded training year with Derby University and hybrid learning, delivering evidence-based mental health support for children and young people in educational settings.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant subject is required for entry onto the program.
• Graduate Diploma entry criteria are outlined for progression.
• Postgraduate Diploma training is fully funded as part of the course.
• Registration as EMHP with BABCP/BPS is expected on qualification.
• Teaching qualification is desirable.
• Youth Mental Health First Aid training is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver Low‑intensity CBT and related interventions in educational settings for children/young people.
• Collaborate with school staff to identify students in need and develop intervention plans.
• Support Whole School Approach activities to promote mental health and wellbeing.
• Provide direct 1:1 and group support sessions for students with mental health challenges.
• Engage in professional development and supervision during the funded training year.
